I’m worried about almost everything in my life. I know it’s unhealthy but I just cannot stop thinking about them. Let me share one of my worries. I’m worried about when I need to talk to other people, teammates, a boss, or even my friends. I’m afraid of hurting others or they misunderstood me. I’m afraid that a good turns to a bad intention. So, I need to prepare what I will talk to others. Yes, I have a high anxiety which is unnecessary.(refer to Chris’ comment) I’m still dealing with myself everyday about what I’m worrying🥲 I’m reading a book “The handbook for highly sensitive person” which makes me slightly understand why I’m this kind of person. I just want people like me... so I’m always worried like this.

The desire to be liked by others can cause a lot of unnecessary worrying and stress! I catch myself doing it sometimes, when I worry excessively over whether what I said or did offended a friend and they're mad at me, and have to tell myself to let it go. I'm still not very good at it when it comes to people I care a lot about, but I'm better than I was before. It's a skill that can be practiced, that's for sure. Have I ever recommended to you my boss's book The Subtle Art? That might be a good book to help you let go and prioritise in life.

Thank you Val! I finished the first one - The Subtle Art, not start the second one yet -Everything is. I think I need to read the first one again and try to practice.

The first one is more relevant to your situation, the second one less so. See if the book resonates more the second time around! There is also a "Subtle Art Journal" which should still be on sale in bookstores (I've seen one in Kinokuniya before). This will help you put into practice the concepts explored in the book. It's more action-oriented. Might be what you need.

There's two sides to worrying, I suppose: worrying can cause unnecessary anxiety, surely, and it is also a sign that you are considering possible future scenarios so you can be prepared for them. Perhaps the reason that the things you worry about don't turn out to be that bad, is precisely because you have anticipated them so you aren't caught unawares.

I agree! In my last post about worry from yonks ago I actually wrote that it serves a purpose as long as you then do something about it. Worry for worry's sake is no good, but worry can be an effective stimulus for beneficial action as well!
