Couldn't agree more! All the more reason to remind ourselves to slow down, stop, and focus on one thing at a time. I'm trying to get back into reading myself as that's a longform content and a more immersive activity. I just got out of habit these past few months.
You're right we probably do multi task because we think we are accomplishing a lot. The obvious results are over stimulated and tired nervous system. Partially also a reason for our burnouts. If only we could practise with simple steps how to be present where we are, we would be a lot more consistent and fulfilled.
Absolutely. Yes Val keeping up well. Thank you for asking. Tbh your post is just on time with the holiday season upon us and all of us feeling more than a little exhausted with the year long grind. Can't wait to take some time off. Don't you think?
As you know Val,
I friggin' hate multitasking. Period.
And I think I probably told you you need to multitask better back in our Wall Street days. I take it back!
LOL You remembered ! Yes, you did 5555.
Well it was a part of our job back then, so I think you said that to me with good intentions, mon amie. :D
Good but misguided! Looking back, I think single-tasking would have been appropriate even then. Just a different way to work.
In the past twenty years, the number of distractions has increased markedly. And it is not doing us any favors.

Yep! I do find in a lot of cases, less really is more. Hope you're keeping well. :)
