I realised a while ago that my issue was energy management not time management. It is good to be reminded of this. Thanks

I'm wondering if it's not rather manage your energy and your time, or manage your energy first then manage your time... What do you think?

I think it's less about which to do first and more about which metric to use to measure productive capacity. Both time and energy management go hand in hand, but energy management supersedes time in terms of effectiveness. Having said that though, I guess I always prioritise energy management, so in a way I guess you could say I'm "for" managing energy first. Your thoughts?

I think that you must always have the right amount of both energy and time to achieve high effectiveness, which in itself is quite a challenge. It is true that no matter how well you manage your time, it won't matter if you don't have the energy to spend it well. But the opposite is also true. If you have your full energy but lack sufficient time for a task you set out to complete due to poor time management, your energy will most likely go to waste.

What strikes me the most is probably this passage: "We have a finite amount of time in a day--there's nothing we can do about that. But we can have unlimited energy." I couldn't help but think outright: then we manage time because we can't have more time, but our energy can be replenished... Of course, you went on a different path!

True, the two have to go hand in hand. Yep, my path was, prioritise managing an unlimited resource because that will bring boundless results. You can only get so much from time management, but you can get exponentially more from energy management as you can infinitely increase it.
